For starters, this is our home town so we may be a touch biased. We love that every Wednesday from 3-7 in the summer months you can join local vendors and farmers selling everything from fresh organic produce to mouth watering home-made ice-cream. The Ancaster farmers market is located at Halson street and Wilson Street East in the field beside John’s Anglican Church. The picturesque setting of the market and live music carried through the air makes this place feel truly magical. For the best experience, access the farmers market by the walking trail located behind the Ancaster Library @ 300 Wilson Street East. We are surrounded by great conservation areas that include the Bruce Trail and rail trails that go right through the centre of the historic core. You can never get enough visits to Sherman and Tiffany Falls. Both offer a spectacular year-round performance of nature’s beauty that is easily accessible by the Bruce trail. You can find a wide variety of eating experiences including the Ancaster Old Mill, set in the rustic setting of the areas original grist mill. Ancaster has a highly rated educational system and is an easy commute to all major centres, being strategically located near major transportation routes on the crest of the Escarpment. You get the best of both worlds here: Urban amenities and bordering on natures best!
